Healing isn’t linear

This is a cliché that we stumble upon every now and then.
What does it mean though?
A non-linear narrative structure is the one that does not progress smoothly from
one stage to the next.
If we start looking for sense in the things, people or instances that we come across
through our journey to healing, that’s like a recipe for anxiety because when we’re
healing, there exists no logic.
At this point, we question everything we’re being forced to sit through, but it seems
that the Universe always sees the whole canvas, even when we may not be able to
see the big picture.
If we actually come to think of it, nothing in nature is linear anyway, water flows in
waves, branches bend, valleys dip.
We often expect our lives to unfold in an untwisted way but who has told us to take
that straight path? We are nature.
This is true that it takes a while for life to come a full circle as there are no short cuts there.
Healing surely takes time to unfold but remember:
The struggles are sent to anchor our faith.
The wounds remind us of our undying strength.
All we need to do is find purpose in pain. I mean, for sure it doesn’t make sense today but one day,
we’d be able to put it all together and find meaning in this madness.
Even when all seems lost, we only need to remind ourselves of one crazy truth…
“We are exactly where we are needed to be”.
